Job Overview:
We are seeking a dependable Press Helper to support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and eager to learn in a cross-trained production environment. This role assists with machine setup, quality monitoring, roll changes, blade maintenance, and other production activities while helping ensure safe and efficient operations. Opportunities for training in machine operation, color matching, forklift operation, and other manufacturing processes are available.
1st Shift: 5:00am - 3:00pm - due to the nature of printing operations, employees may occasionally need to stay later than 3:00pm to complete production runs already in progress. Extended hours are not an every day occurrence but may be required based on workload and production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with setup and operation of production equipment.
· Load, monitor, and change material rolls as required.
· Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met.
· Crosstrain in all areas of press operations and color matching processes.
· Operate and monitor machinery according to production specifications.
· Use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify product quality.
· Utilize hand tools for fabrication, maintenance, and assembly tasks.
· Operate a forklift safely and successfully complete forklift training.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support efficient production operations.
· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
· Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Ability to continuously lift 50 pounds throughout the shift.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and climb stairs as needed.
· Ability to distinguish colors for ink color matching purposes.
· Ability to safely use hand tools and production equipment.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to (50lbs) on a regular basis
· Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safety
