Overview: The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the various work centers within the fabrication department on our weekend shift (Friday/Saturday/Sunday). This includes planning, coordinating, and assigning daily activities to ensure maximum output and to exceed production goals, while maintaining the quality demands of our clients. Supervisors are also responsible for the recruitment and hiring process based on demand and open positions, timeliness of reviews, timesheets, approval of hours for payroll, coaching, termination, and promoting Athena's Code of Values.
Key Responsibilities: (include but not limited to): Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

Maintain and promote safe working habits and clean work area (6S-Lean Manufacturing).

Coordinate staff to ensure they are knowledgeable of all safety practices, health hazards and precautionary measures.

Coordinates with department manager to ensure work scopes are accurately defined.
-
Plan, organize, manage, and delegate work center activities and personnel to ensure effective work production.
-
Recommend, prepare, develop, and implement streamline processes and improvement measures to improve efficiency, quality, and/or performance.

Supervise and delegate work to all employees and monitor task completion.
-
Requisition work center supplies as needed.
-
Actively participate in the recruitment, interview and hiring process of candidates.

Make sure all new employees are assigned a mentor and trained properly.
-
Identify training needs to ensure employees can perform the duties and responsibilities of their jobs effectively, receive necessary training outlined in their performance review/training record and are reported timely to Human Resources to maintain in employee's personnel file.

Conduct mandatory employee performance reviews and coaching sessions within a timely manner.

Review and approve employee's personnel actions, timesheets, and requests for leave.

Complete and maintain production reports to communicate team results to management.

Remunerating workers and keeping them motivated and addressing any employee issues/concerns.

Perform other jobs or functions assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Minimum Preferred Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

High School Diploma or GED, in addition to:
-
minimum of (2) two years of continuing education*, and
-
a minimum of (2) years’ experience of fabrication/sheet metal assembly, plus
-
(2) years in a lead/supervisory position.

Able to perform physical requirements

Great attitude and willingness to grow our employees
- May substitute (1) year of additional experience for each (1) year of required education.
