Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, meal times, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment
- Engage children with educational games, arts and crafts, storytime, and hands-on learning experiences
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns regarding child safety or well-being
- Assist with classroom routines such as diapering, potty training, and setting up learning materials
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure quick response in emergencies
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and support individual needs
- Excellent communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and adhere to mandated reporting laws
- Experience in toddler care, infant care, or nannying enhances your ability to connect with diverse age groups
