Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Quality Lead to champion our quality management systems and ensure our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of excellence. In this pivotal role, you will lead quality assurance initiatives, conduct rigorous audits, and drive compliance with industry regulations. Your leadership will foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all production stages.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with IATF 16949 standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead quality internal IAFT audits to evaluate compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), create third-party registrar audits, and ensure prompt resolution of non-conformities.
- Execute core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), MSA, and SPC across product development and volume production.
- Develop, document, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and inspection instructions.
- Oversee quality control processes in manufacturing to ensure products meet strict quality standards across all fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between production, engineering, and regulatory teams to address quality issues proactively.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects or non-conformities using analysis skills such as Six Sigma methodologies and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Implement lean management principles to optimize quality systems and reduce waste.
- Lead team training sessions on quality inspection procedures, regulatory compliance standards, and quality assurance best practices.
- Manage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) programs to ensure permanent defect elimination and prevent recurrence.
- Conduct incoming quality inspections on raw materials, metal hardware, sub-assemblies, and supplier parts.
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR); collaborate with vendors to resolve component defects.
Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering (or equivalent practical industrial experience).
- Experience: 3–5+ years of Quality Assurance/Control experience in a manufacturing environment operating under IATF 16949 standards.
- IATF Core Tools: In-depth, hands-on mastery of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient with precision measuring instruments, calibration procedures, and technical drawing interpretation (GD&T).
- Auditing & Problem Solving: Demonstrated success in leading quality audits, root-cause problem solving (8D/5-Why), and implementing Lean / 5S practices.
- Certifications (Preferred): Certified IATF 16949 Internal Auditor, ASQ CQE/CQA, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
