The Kindergarten Classroom Aide at St. Frances Cabrini Academy supports the Kindergarten teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and faith-centered learning environment for young students. This position assists with classroom instruction, student supervision, and daily classroom activities while promoting the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of children in accordance with the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Assist the Kindergarten teacher with instructional activities and classroom management.
- Provide individual and small-group support to students in literacy, math, and other learning activities.
- Help create and maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Prepare instructional materials, classroom resources, and educational activities.
- Supervise students during classroom transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned activities.
- Support the development of positive behavior, social skills, and age-appropriate independence.
- Assist students with daily routines and ensure their safety and well-being throughout the school day.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with teachers, staff, and families as needed.
- Uphold and support the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church and St. Frances Cabrini Academy.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in education preferred.
- Experience working with young children in an educational, childcare, or related setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.
- Patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about supporting early childhood education.
- Commitment to fostering a faith-based learning environment.
- School-based setting focused on early childhood education.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting classroom materials, and active engagement with students throughout the day.
- Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, attentiveness, and a student-centered approach.
- Frequent interaction with young children in both classroom and playground settings.
