Mericle Construction, Inc. is currently seeking a dependable General Laborer to support day-to-day field operations across our construction projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who shows up ready to work, follows direction, and takes pride in keeping a job site running clean and safe.
Mericle Construction, Inc. is the largest, full-service developer of industrial, office, flex, and medical space along Pennsylvanias I-81 Corridor. Mericle has developed more than 100 buildings in the Scranton/Pittston/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton area. The Mericle team includes licensed architects, land planners, professional engineers, surveyors, licensed electricians, plumbers, carpenters, leasing and marketing professionals, property managers, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general site labor including material handling, site prep, and cleanup
- Assist skilled trades as directed concrete, masonry, carpentry, and others
- Support concrete pours, form setting, and basic finishing tasks as needed
- Operate hand tools and small equipment safely and competently
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and site-specific procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some construction field experience required; concrete background preferred
- Ability to take direction, work within a crew, and shift tasks as priorities change
- Physically capable of sustained outdoor labor in varying conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude on the job site
