Position: ABA technician to work in Acushnet Public Schools with students with special needs.
Population: Students in our classrooms typically have diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder, pervasive developmental delay and Down syndrome. Some students may have social emotional disorders such as anxiety, PTSD or RAD.
Approach: Common interventions used by our behavior therapists include ABA, Incidental Teaching, Discrete Trial Instruction, Functional Communication Training, Functional Behavioral Assessment and Trauma Informed Care. Our students generally receive a combination of individual and small group instruction. Most of our students also have opportunities for inclusion into academic and/or recreational activities.
