What You'll Be Selling
We're a freight brokerage — we connect shippers (companies that need to move freight) with carriers (trucking companies that move it) and make our margin on the spread between what the shipper pays and what we pay the carrier. Your job is to bring in the shipper side: finding companies that ship freight regularly and getting their loads moving through us.
The Lead Pool
This is bigger than most people expect. Almost any company that manufactures, distributes, or sells physical products ships freight — which means almost any business is a potential prospect. You're not limited to a niche list. Warehouses, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, brands — if they move product from point A to point B, they're a fit.
You'll also work from:
- A reactivation list — previously active shippers who've worked with us before and just need a reason to come back
- AI-assisted research — using AI tools to filter through Google and Google Maps to identify companies actively moving freight
- In-person sales — visiting manufacturers, local landscapers, construction companies, and other businesses directly
How You'll Reach Out
- Cold calling — direct outreach to shipping and logistics decision-makers
- Cold email — using Apollo-sourced contacts, short and direct, aimed at getting a reply or a call
- Reactivation outreach — a warmer angle since these companies already have history with us
- Door-to-door — this industry rewards showing up in person; any company with pallets sitting outside is an immediate target
A Typical Day
- Sourcing new company contacts or working your existing pipeline
- Calling and emailing to find shippers ready to talk
- Quoting freight and negotiating rates
- Booking loads and coordinating with carriers to get them covered
- Following up to turn one-time shippers into repeat business
Success in this role comes down to activity. The prospect pool is essentially endless — it's about consistency and follow-up, not running out of who to call.
Pay: $1.00 - $50,000.00 per month
