The Department of English at Eastern Connecticut State University invites applications for part-time instructors to teach first-year college writing (ENG 100: College Writing and ENG 100P: College Writing Plus). ENG 100 is a genre-based course with an emphasis on developing students’ research and rhetorical awareness skills. ENG 100P is the same as ENG 100 but comes with a two-hour lab in which the instructor and a writing tutor work with students individually or in small groups. We are seeking candidates who can teach at the following days and times: MWF 8 - 8:50 (ENG 100), MWF 1 – 1:50 (ENG 100), TWR 9 – 11 (ENG 100P), and MTR 2 – 3:45 (ENG 100P). All sections are on-ground.
Qualifications: A Master’s degree or higher in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or a related field. Applicants should be committed to supporting diverse learners in their academic growth. Experience teaching first-year writing or related courses at the college level is preferred.
