Overview
DAVECTA SUPPLY CHAIN INC. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Operations Specialist to support the coordination of logistics, procurement, inventory management, and distribution activities. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient product flow throughout the supply chain while maintaining accurate operational records and collaborating with suppliers, transportation providers, warehouse teams, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and committed to delivering operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, transportation, and order fulfillment
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Maintain communication with suppliers, freight carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal stakeholders
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, shipping documentation, inventory reports, and logistics records
- Track inventory levels and assist with demand planning, forecasting, and replenishment activities
- Analyze operational data to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs
- Support supplier relationship management and vendor performance evaluations
- Maintain accurate information within ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize logistics processes and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in supply chain management, logistics, transportation, procurement, warehouse operations, or inventory control preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and inventory management software
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytics platforms is an advantage
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
- APICS/ASCM certifications or equivalent supply chain credentials are considered a plus
