Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up tables and preparing the dining area for service
- Clear tables promptly and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized environment
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the dining area, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries or concerns
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival.
- Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus.
- Maintain accurate waitlist and seating arrangements.
- Assist in answering phone calls and making reservations.
- Communicate effectively with guests, servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage guest relations by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station, restrooms, and lobby area.
- Assist in other duties as assigned by management.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food-handling procedures
- Must be able to work well within a team and take direction from supervisors
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional guest experiences
- Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar restaurant management software is preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
