Our practice is growing! We are looking for a dental assistant to join our team. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant who is committed to providing exceptional patient care and helping to create a positive experience for every patient.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers in the dental office
- Prepare customers for treatment ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Lab work as needed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental rooms clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records
Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Eaglesoft knowledge a plus but not a deal breaker
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
- Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
- X-ray and Coronal Polish Certified
About the Job
Office Hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday 8:00am-3:00pm. Office is open select Wednesdays 1-2 times per month.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
