Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities
As a CNA, you will play an essential role in helping residents maintain their comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
- Obtain and accurately record vital signs.
- Collect routine specimens as directed.
- Perform restorative nursing activities to promote resident independence.
- Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
- Complete routine comfort, safety, and checking rounds.
- Accurately record resident intake and output.
- Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition, safety concerns, or potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of resident care.
- Communicate respectfully and compassionately with residents, families, visitors, and members of the care team.
Qualifications
- Current, active Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification required.
- Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Sign-On Bonus Eligibility
