Position: Experienced Dental Assistant
We are a busy, established multi-specialty dental practice in Orland Park looking for an experienced, dependable Dental Assistant to join our team.
Our office provides comprehensive dental care, including general dentistry approximately three days per week and periodontics approximately two days per week. This is a great opportunity for an assistant who enjoys variety and is comfortable working alongside different providers and assisting with both routine and more advanced procedures.
Our Periodontist performs a variety of periodontal and oral surgical procedures, so experience with surgical procedures is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during general dental procedures
- Assist the Periodontist with periodontal and oral surgical procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Take digital X-rays and maintain accurate patient records
- Follow proper sterilization and infection-control protocols
- Help maintain an organized and efficient clinical environment
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients
- Work closely with doctors, assistants, hygienists, and front-office team members
- Assist with front-desk responsibilities when needed
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience required
- Experience assisting with periodontal, implant, extraction, or other surgical procedures is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft dental software is preferred
- Cross-training or previous front-desk experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy dental environment
