PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions servicing the Life Sciences sector, is looking for a
Senior Automation Technician to support troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of industrial automation systems in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on technical support for PLC, SCADA, DCS, and historian systems, ensuring reliable plant operations and compliance with GMP requirements.
Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs, SCADA, DCS, OSI PI, and automation equipment.

Respond to alarms, system faults, and equipment failures during assigned shift coverage.

Perform root cause analysis and support CAPA activities for automation incidents.

Execute and maintain automation preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
-
Support automation system upgrades, improvements, and project tasks.

Assist with automation validation activities, including protocol execution and documentation support.

Document system status, incidents, maintenance activities, and shift turnover updates.

Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, cybersecurity, and data integrity requirements.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical) or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience supporting industrial automation systems in GMP environments.

Experience troubleshooting PLC, SCADA, and control systems in manufacturing environments.

Ability to support shift operations and respond to automation incidents.

Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Desired Hard Skills:

Experience with Rockwell Automation (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PLC5, SLC500) and Siemens PLC platforms.

Experience with OSI PI Historian, PI Vision, and Kepware.

Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, or Profibus.

Experience supporting automation system validation (CSV) and documentation tools such as Kneat.

Familiarity with ISA-88, ISA-95, and GAMP 5 frameworks.
