Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team full-time. This role is central to keeping our office running smoothly and ensuring every patient has a positive experience — from their first phone call through their treatment session. The ideal candidate is a strong multitasker who is comfortable balancing front-desk duties with clinical support tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls, addressing patient questions and directing calls as needed
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
- Set up treatment/exam rooms before patient visits and restore/clean rooms after each session
- Take and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, etc.)
- Follow up and communicate with leads and prospective patients
- Communicate with insurance companies and assist with billing questions as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system
- Greet patients and ensure a welcoming, professional office environment
- Assist providers and clinical staff with day-to-day office operations as needed
- Candidate will be mostly working along side the PA
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and basic clinical procedures a plus
- Experience with EHR/practice management software preferred
- Basic understanding of medical insurance and billing processes preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to reliably commute to office location
Schedule
- Full-time: 36–40 hours per week
Compensation & Benefits
- $22 to $25 per hour dependent on experience
- Opportunity to accrue PTO after 6 months
