Millview of Latham Assisted Living is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and organized Food Service Director to lead our dining services department. If you are passionate about providing exceptional dining experiences for seniors while leading a dedicated team, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee all daily food service operations.
- Develop nutritious, appealing menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
- Ensure compliance with New York State regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation guidelines.
- Supervise, schedule, train, and support dietary staff.
- Manage food ordering, inventory, and departmental budget.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, residents, and families to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen and dining environment.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing food service operations, preferably in an assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations and food safety standards.
- ServSafe Certification (preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
- Passion for enhancing the quality of life for older adults through exceptional dining experiences.

Pay: $54,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
