We are seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced **Early Childhood Cook** to prepare and deliver nutritious meals for **more than 100 children across three early childhood programs** from a single kitchen location.
This is a fast-paced position that requires strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently meet meal service deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
## Primary Responsibilities
* Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to CACFP guidelines.
* Produce high-volume meals efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency.
* Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule to meet program meal times.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen that meets licensing and health department regulations.
* Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, and assist with ordering supplies.
* Accurately document menus, temperatures, and required food production records.
* Safely transport food between program locations as needed.
* Work collaboratively with program staff to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions.
* Follow all state licensing, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
## Qualifications
* Experience preparing high-volume meals in a fast-paced environment is required.
* Previous experience in a school, child care center, nursing home, hospital, cafeteria, or other institutional food service setting is strongly preferred.
* Valid driver's license with a safe driving record required for food transportation between locations.
*Current servsafe certification - or willingness to obtain.
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
* Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
