MIG Welder Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, dependable, Welder to join our manufacturing team in Springville, Alabama. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and assembling high-quality trailer components. This role requires attention to detail, strong knowledge of welding techniques, and a commitment to workplace safety and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform Flux/MIG welding on steel trailer frames and components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Set up welding machines based on material thickness and specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble metal components accurately
- Inspect welds to ensure structural integrity and quality standards
- Grind, clean, and finish welds as required
- Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of welding experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- Strong knowledge of welding equipment setup and maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
