Wetlawn Inc - Wetlawn Electric is looking for an electrician who has 3+ years of experience to undertake a variety of tasks within our Electrical, Lighting & Irrigation company.
As an Electrician you will perform a combination of service and new installation of electrical systems for residential construction and renovation projects including extensive home renovations, additions, kitchen and bath renovations, and home maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting and electrical systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for interior lighting and exterior landscape lighting
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
- Communicate effectively with residential clients, maintaining the personal level of service they have come to expect
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide project status updates to Business Manager
Skills:
- Proven experience as an electrician (3+ years experience)
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and ability to apply them in a practical manner on each job
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Technical savvy, ability to utilize tablets and have the ability to learn and effectively use our industry specific software (Buildertend experience is a PLUS)
- Experience training other journeyman / apprentice
- Experience with A/V and home automation systems a plus
- Applicants must have a clean driving record with a valid driver's license
