Keen Home Care & Homes Assisted Living Facility in Los Alamitos has an opportunity for you as a 2-Day Reliever Direct Care Staff! We are a 6-bed assisted living home for the elderly. Direct Care Staff members play a vital role in the daily care for seniors in a home-like setting. Keen Home Care is a full-service Home Care Agency (HCO) that is licensed with the Department of Social Services (DSS). We provide assistance with the DSS registration process and the Department of Justice background check for unregistered caregivers but have sufficient experience.
Job description:
As a Direct Care Staff member, you will:
- Provide assistance to residents with personal care, emotional support, and activities of daily living (i.e., bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Assist with meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping
- Assist with medication reminders
- Participate in providing activities for the residents (i.e., gardening, painting, puzzles, etc...)
- Contribute to creating a team environment with other staff members and resident family members
Direct Care Staff job requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years old
- 2+ years professional caregiving experience (home care, facility, or similar)
- Basic cooking knowledge
- Experience with ADL care, transfers and mobility, ROM exercises, and memory care
- Hospice experience is a plus, but not required
- Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) or willing to be registered
- Able to pass criminal background check
- Current CPR certification
- Current TB test and a physical exam

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
