This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional with 1-2 years of project management experience who is looking to accelerate their career with a company that promotes from within and provides direct exposure to all phases of construction.
In addition to a $65,000 base salary, employees participate in a highly attractive profit-sharing bonus program, creating the opportunity for substantially higher overall earnings based on company and project performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing commercial construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and timelines
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and internal project teams
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, contracts, and change orders
- Participate in project meetings and maintain communication with clients and stakeholders
- Help identify project challenges and collaborate with senior leaders to develop solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications
- Track project costs, labor, materials, and production throughout construction
- Support procurement, estimating, and pre-construction activities
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and project records
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of Project Management, Assistant Project Management, or Construction Coordination experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
- Basic understanding of commercial construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn construction management software
- Desire to grow into increased project leadership responsibilities
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting commercial, industrial, retail, office, or mixed-use construction projects
- Exposure to design/build construction environments
- Understanding of general contracting operations and field coordination
- Internship experience or hands-on construction experience will also be considered
