Plumbing Installer/Technician
Project Location: Ft. Belvoir, VA

Position Summary
The Plumbing Installer / Foreman is responsible for the day‑to‑day installation and coordination of plumbing systems on multifamily construction projects in Richmond, VA and the surrounding region. Reporting to the Foreman and Project Manager, this role serves as the primary on‑site installer, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project documents, local codes, and quality expectations. Exceptional candidates may serve as the lead installer.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Installation & Supervision
- Perform installation of plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, and storm as applicable to multifamily projects
- Complete tasks, sequence work, and monitor productivity and workmanship
- Read and interpret plumbing drawings, riser diagrams, and specifications
- Identify field conflicts and constructability issues and communicate solutions to the Foreman and Project Manager
Schedule & Trade Coordination
- Coordinate daily and weekly plumbing activities with your team lead
- Ensure plumbing grounds, rough‑ins, inspections, pressure tests, trim occur on schedule
- Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts in walls, ceilings, shafts, and unit layouts
- Participate in coordination meetings, look‑ahead planning, and unit release planning as required
Material Procurement & Management
- Forecast, request, and track plumbing material and fixture deliveries with the foreman
- Assist in verifying that correct materials, fixtures, valves, and trim are received and staged properly
- Maintain organized material storage and minimize waste or loss
- Coordinate specialty equipment deliveries, setting, and testing when required
Quality Control & Inspections
- Conduct daily quality checks of your plumbing installations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Address inspection comments, deficiencies, and punch list items promptly
- Ensure consistency and quality across all units and common areas
Safety & Compliance
- Follow jobsite safety policies, OSHA standards, and company procedures
- Maintain proper PPE usage
- Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability
Communication & Reporting
- Provide daily updates to the Foreman, including progress and material needs
- Document delays, field conditions, and follow all directions from the Foreman
- Coordinate effectively with inspectors, owners’ reps, and trade partners
Required Qualifications
- Experience in residential, commercial, or multifamily plumbing installation
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
- Ability to read and understand construction and plumbing drawings
- Familiarity with Virginia plumbing codes and inspection processes
- Solid leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in the Northern and Central Virginia areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license (VA or reciprocal)
- Experience working on large‑scale multifamily or mixed‑use developments
- Experience leading crews or serving as a lead installer or foreman
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Basic computer skills for reporting, photos, and email communication

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
