Presto! Pizza is a locally owned, family-run pizzeria in The Glen Shopping Center in Woodbridge, VA. We've built a loyal following in the community, we take our food seriously, and we take care of our team. This is not a chain — your work matters here, and so do you.
The Role
We're looking for a Lead Cook who owns the kitchen. You'll set the standard for quality, keep the line running smoothly, and be the person we count on when it gets busy. You'll have real responsibility — this isn't a 'punch in, make pies, punch out' job.
What You'll Do
- Run the kitchen line during service — managing quality, speed, and consistency
- Prepare dough, sauces, and toppings to spec
- Maintain food safety, station cleanliness, and health code standards
- Assist in training and mentoring new kitchen staff
- Help with opening/closing kitchen duties and light inventory management
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of pizza or line cook experience preferred — but we'll consider exceptional candidates with 1 year
- Comfortable working a fast line under pressure without cutting corners on quality
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
- Team player who communicates well and lifts the people around them
- Food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
