Our current opening is for a Security Service Field Engineer/Technician in our St. Louis office. Technician will be responsible for providing customers with the highest quality installations possible in an efficient and timely manner while assuring customer satisfaction.
- Identify, analyze, and diagnosis systems and products at customer’s location.
- Provide technical support to customers.
- Responsible for installing product and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to install, program, and diagnose systems.
- Provide updates to project managers.
- Ensure quality completion of project.
- Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented technician who thrives in a hands-on, field-based environment and is committed to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction. They bring a strong technical foundation, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience with security systems, access control, VMS, or related technologies (preferred)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose system issues efficiently
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
Comfortable using hand tools and working in a field environment
Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Highly organized with the ability to document work and manage multiple tasks
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and industry best practices
Ability to collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure successful project completion
Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation, including criminal and motor vehicle check
