Pre-K Teacher Job Description
Position Title: Pre-K Teacher
Reports To: Principal/Director
Position Summary
The Pre-K Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of young children while integrating Islamic values and character education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Create a positive, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Teach early literacy, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional skills.
- Integrate Islamic values, manners, and character development into daily instruction.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student growth and concerns.
- Maintain classroom organization, materials, and displays.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, arrival, and dismissal.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff.
- Attend required meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Follow all school policies and uphold the mission and values of the school.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to supporting the Islamic mission and values of the school.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
