Job Summary: The Program Coordinator Intern will work alongside the Executive Director and Program Manager to support program coordination, partner agency relationships, volunteer engagement, community outreach as well as marketing and communications. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in nonprofit management, business, communications, marketing, social work, public health, or a related field to gain practical experience in a growing community-based nonprofit.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support monthly diaper distributions and community diaper distribution events
- Track and manage diaper inventory, distributions and in-kind donations, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date
- Assist with volunteer registration, communication and scheduling.
- Support volunteer opportunities, diaper wrapping events, and other service activities.
- Assist with creating and scheduling social media content
- Help develop stories and content that communicate the Diaper Bank's impact.
- Respond to community inquiries and information about accessing diaper assistance as well as information about donating diapers or other essential items
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Executive Director and Program Manager.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate OR have graduated within 12 months of the internship start date.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Proficient with basic computer applications.
- Comfortable learning new technology and software systems.
- Ability to lift and heavy carry boxes up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during diaper deliveries. distributions and events
- Passion for helping parents/caregivers, children and families in need
