Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas, including sanitizing surfaces, floors, equipment, and utensils to meet safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes accurately to ensure meal consistency.
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients according to dietary guidelines and customer preferences.
- Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent contamination during meal prep and serving.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service activities, communicate effectively about orders, and ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Follow safety standards in production environments by adhering to sanitation protocols, proper knife skills, and food safety management practices.
Requirements.
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating knowledge of food industry standards.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Skilled in culinary techniques such as slicing (including knife skills), recipe adherence, and meal preparation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and team members.
- Knowledge of catering services or serving experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and safety compliance.
