The Cottages of Sequim is searching for Caregivers and Medication Technicians to join our incredible team. We are searching for passionate, ambitious, and responsible individuals that want to make a difference in our resident's daily life. WE CAN HELP YOU WITH GETTING YOUR HCA LICENSE!
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosage and schedule
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records for each patient
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication administration
- Follow all relevant protocols and guidelines for medication administration
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medication Technician or similar role preferred
- Familiarity with medication administration systems and procedures
- Knowledge of patient care principles and practices
- Experience in acute care, nursing homes, hospitals, or similar healthcare settings is a plus
- Proficient in maintaining medical records and documentation
Additional Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid certification as a Medication Technician or completion of a medication administration training program
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
