Job Summary

Duties
- Safely operate forklift trucks and yard mule to load and unload materials efficiently
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and materials handling with proper technique to prevent injury
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for accurate inventory management and order picking
- Assist with order picking tasks using specialized equipment like <PERSON> pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately
- Support shipping & receiving operations by verifying shipments, preparing items for dispatch, and ensuring proper documentation
- Perform routine equipment repair checks on forklifts and other material handling equipment to maintain optimal operation
- Follow OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols consistently to promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory control, stock rotation, and warehouse distribution activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to facilitate smooth operations
Experience
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts including reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics purposes
- Experience with order picking processes using specialized equipment such as <PERSON> pickers or similar tools
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with inventory management practices
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards related to heavy equipment operation in warehouses
- Prior experience supporting warehouse distribution or materials handling operations is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy
- Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management system administration is a plus
