Location: Burley, ID
Schedule: Full-Time, (10hr day shifts to start, but will become a 12 hour 2-2-3 shift eventually)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Utilities / Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair plant utility and mechanical systems. This role supports production by servicing boilers, HVAC, Ammonia systems, compressors, pumps, valves, and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in troubleshooting industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, HVAC, Ammonia systems, compressors, pumps, and utility systems.
- Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment overhauls.
- Conduct daily boiler water testing and system inspections.
- Fabricate and modify equipment using welding tools.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 4+ years of industrial, trades, or mechanical repair experience (HVAC, plumbing, diesel/automotive, etc.).
- At least 1 year as a Utility or Maintenance Mechanic preferred.
- Technical certifications (boiler operator, HVAC, ammonia, welding, or plumbing) a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.
Skills
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Preventive maintenance and machine adjustment ability.
- Welding/fabrication experience.
- Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or in a team.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: DOE ($31.00-$39.00)
