Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a child care setting. The ideal candidate will have some experience in food preparation and menu planning.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, following food safety guidelines
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to meet the specific dietary needs of children.
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper knife handling techniques
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Cook in the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and menu planning
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
