American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU (TICU) night shift position in Nashville, TN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

Located in Nashville, TN at an acute care hospital

20-bed Trauma Critical Care Unit (TICU)
-
Patient ratios of 2:1, with 1:1 depending on acuity
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Minimum of 4 weekend shifts required per schedule period
-
Schedules are done in 4-week increments with self-scheduling options; manager may adjust shifts to balance the schedule

Equipment used includes ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000, and traction
-
Documentation system: Meditech
-
Travelers are first to float; if staffing needs arise in med/surg, travelers are expected to float and accept the assignment
-
13-week contract

Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

NIH Stroke Certification required for ICU RNs

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Trauma experience is preferred

Procedures performed on the unit include insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, and EVDs
-
Occasional nurse extern may be present on the unit working in a tech capacity

Navy scrub tops and bottoms required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
