About the Role
The Director of Enrichment Sites collaborates with the Area Director, Program Coordinator, and school district leadership to oversee the daily operations of Boys & Girls Club programs at multiple school-based locations. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality programming, staff leadership, operational excellence, and strong school and family partnerships while supporting the Club's mission of helping young people reach their full potential.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 10am- 6:30 pm during the school year, intersession camp hours determined by supervisor, additional hours as required to meet job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Oversee the daily operation of multiple school-based after-school and intersession programs.
- Ensure successful implementation of program schedules, curriculum, and enrichment activities.
- Visit sites regularly to monitor program quality and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments for members and staff.
- Ensure compliance with Boys & Girls Club policies, procedures, and school district requirements
Staff Supervision & Development
- Supervise Site Leads, Youth Development Specialists, and other assigned staff.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new employees.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct annual employee evaluations.
- Lead regular staff meetings and communicate organizational updates.
- Review and approve employee timesheets.
Program Management
- Coordinate and oversee enrichment programming, including STEAM initiatives.
- Ensure all ELOP grant requirements and contract deliverables are met.
- Monitor attendance, membership documentation, reports, and program outcomes.
- Oversee intersession programming, including staffing, attendance, expenses, and reporting.
- Manage program supplies and activity budgets.
- Oversee meal and snack program operations
School & Community Partnerships
- Maintain strong relationships with school administrators, site liaisons, and families.
- Attend school faculty and site meetings.
- Communicate program updates and address concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Support special events, projects, and community initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience supervising and developing staff.
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email platforms.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) requirements.
- Experience managing multiple school-age youth program sites.

The Director of Enrichment sites is a grant-funded role subject to annual contract renewal. The role is currently funded through Summer 2027.
Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour
