Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic pediatric therapy team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in behavioral therapy and experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities and autism. As an RBT, you will implement individualized treatment plans, collect data to monitor progress, and support children in developing essential skills through evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), utilizing applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors and skill acquisition to track progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and feeding to promote independence.
- Support children during therapy sessions by teaching new skills and managing behaviors using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with team members to develop care plans tailored to each child's unique needs and goals.
- Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages growth, learning, and positive behavior management.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities, is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately during sessions and maintain thorough medical records.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pediatric care and special education practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards and ethical guidelines. Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
