Join Our Team as the Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor at Southgate Apartments!
Southgate Apartments, a locally-owned, 311-unit apartment community in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a dedicated, Bilingual (English/Spanish) Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor to join our team.
The Role:
· Organizes and coordinates the daily activities of the maintenance team while maintaining accurate records and tracking inventory
· Oversees repairs and maintenance of vacant units to make lease ready, confirming compliance with safety regulations and building codes
· Monitors turn-overs and work orders, ensuring prompt response to maintenance requests from residents
· Performs routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing
· Coordinates with outside contractors for specialized repairs and services
· Ensures construction and renovation projects are managed to budget and delivered on-time
· Provides regular reporting and updates to management and ownership
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in apartment or property maintenance with solid understanding of maintenance procedures and techniques; working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems (Universal HVAC certification preferred)
· Excellent bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish)
· Strong leadership, organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
· Works well as part of a team
· Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
· Valid driver's license required
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical labor
· Availability for on-call emergency maintenance as needed
