Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, craft beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their dining experience and promote sales of food and beverages
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change using POS systems
- Assist with beverage recipe development to introduce new drinks that excite our patrons
- Support bar management in stock inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring the bar is fully equipped for service
- Handle banquet or catering events as needed, providing excellent service in various settings within the establishment
Skills
- Proven experience in bartending or serving within the food industry, especially in fine dining or hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, cocktail mixing techniques, wine varieties, brewing processes, and craft beer trends
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Simphony POS for efficient order processing and cash handling
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously during busy hours
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and resolve issues promptly
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding for sales transactions, and food industry calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety
- Experience in bar management or overseeing beverage operations is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and special events such as banquets or catering functions
