About Us
OC Regenerative & Pain Center is a growing interventional pain management practice in Newport Beach, California. We are newly contracted with Medicare, Blue Shield of California, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare and are looking for an experienced medical billing consultant to help us build our billing department correctly from the beginning.
Responsibilities
- Audit and optimize our Practice Fusion Billing setup.
- Verify provider and payer enrollment.
- Submit our first insurance claims.
- Review claim rejections and denials.
- Ensure Medicare, Blue Shield, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare claims are submitted correctly.
- Train office staff on insurance verification, claim submission, payment posting, and billing workflows.
- Help develop simple billing SOPs.
- Provide ongoing consulting as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience.
- Hands-on experience using Practice Fusion Billing is required.
- Medicare billing experience is required.
- Experience with Blue Shield of California, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare preferred.
- Pain Management, PM&R;, Orthopedics, or Spine practice experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, modifiers, and insurance claim submission.
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who enjoys teaching as much as billing. Our goal is to build an efficient in-house workflow, submit our first claims successfully, and train our team so we can confidently manage billing internally.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate based on experience (recommended range: $75–$125/hour), flexible schedule, and opportunity for an ongoing consulting relationship as the practice grows.

Pay: $75.00 - $175.00 per hour
