Description:
Position Summary
The Production & Packaging Documentation Clerk is responsible for ensuring all production and packaging paperwork is completed accurately, reviewed for compliance, and maintained according to company policies and food safety regulations. This position supports production operations by coordinating documentation, maintaining records, and ensuring all required paperwork is complete for traceability, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collect, review, and verify production and packaging paperwork for completeness and accuracy.

Ensure all batch records, packaging records, lot codes, labels, and production logs are completed according to company procedures.

Work closely with Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and Warehouse personnel to resolve documentation discrepancies.

Verify that all required documentation is completed before records are filed or products are released.

Assist with product traceability, recalls, internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections by providing accurate documentation.

Monitor documentation compliance and notify management of missing or incomplete records.

Assist with updating production forms, logs, and controlled documents as needed.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times.

Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

One to three years of experience in food manufacturing, production administration, quality assurance, or document control preferred.

Knowledge of food manufacturing documentation, GMPs, HACCP, and food safety requirements is preferred.

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements:
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in both office and production environments.

Frequent walking between production areas and office.

Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Ability to work in varying temperatures and around manufacturing equipment while following all safety requirements.
