Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join a collaborative inpatient hospital team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care and thrives in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, progress, and home-based strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, hospital policies, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
Required
-
Master's Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current and active state Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred

Previous inpatient hospital or acute care experience.
- Experience evaluating and treating dysphagia and medically complex patients.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
