Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed HVAC Contractor to join our dynamic team. As an HVAC Licensed Contractor, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex HVAC systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform electrical diagnostics and plumbing work related to HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems and perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair or replace faulty components.
- Diagnose complex issues involving ammonia refrigeration or other specialized refrigerants while adhering to EPA regulations.
- Collaborate with property managers, service technicians, and other trades to coordinate repairs and upgrades efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations including EPA certifications.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for transportation between job sites while adhering to all traffic laws.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on HVAC installation and repair projects.
- Proven service technician experience with mechanical systems repair in commercial or residential settings.
- Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and building automation systems.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration principles including ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Mechanical knowledge covering boilers, air conditioning units, pumps, valves, and related equipment repair.
- Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters; welding skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with EPA regulations related to refrigerants; holding current EPA certification is required.
- Experience with field service operations including appliance repair and property maintenance tasks.
- Mechanical systems repair expertise combined with excellent problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to read technical manuals accurately and apply troubleshooting techniques effectively in the field.
