We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Service Technician with HVAC and handyman expertise to join our team. Appliance repair experience is a plus since the ideal candidate will also be taking appliance repair and diagnostic calls. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. You must be dependable, self motivated, and trustworthy with a good driving record so that you can go to these service calls.. Your hands-on skills will ensure that building systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. You will work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC system repairs, maintenance, and installations including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and building automation systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and installations, ensuring proper operation of water supply and drainage systems.
- Utilize schematics and HVAC design plans to guide repairs or system upgrades effectively.
- Maintain mechanical systems by repairing or replacing equipment components using hand tools, welding techniques, or specialized machinery.
- Diagnose equipment failures through systematic troubleshooting of HVAC/R (refrigeration) units, appliances, and mechanical systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, scheduling follow-up maintenance, and ensuring client satisfaction during service calls.
- Adhere to safety protocols including EPA regulations for refrigerants and proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Support property maintenance tasks such as general handyman duties, equipment repair, welding, and building system upkeep.
- Operate company vehicles safely as a <PERSON> driver when traveling between job sites.
- Work independently and as a team.
- Drive to client sites.
- Make your own schedule after training.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction work or property maintenance with a strong background in HVAC/R systems.
- Service technician experience with HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance required.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing techniques, and mechanical systems repair.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boilers, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and appliance repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ohmmeters, and welding equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system installation and mechanical systems repair.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a <PERSON> driver preferred.
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in electrical or mechanical fields are a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
