JOB SUMMARY:
The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the position of Utility Billing Inspector. This position will be primarily responsible for:

Conducting on-site inspections for new and existing hotel/casino and other commercial and industrial businesses to ensure that such businesses are in compliance with District Service Rules.

Determining most appropriate way to bring a business into compliance if non-compliance issues are discovered, recommending compliance requirements and monitoring compliance activities during the construction phase and conducting follow-up upon completion.

Reviewing applications for permits for commercial and industrial facilities to determine sewer service charges; researching and reviewing plans, maps, blueprints and related materials to calculate appropriate charges.

Investigating customer complaints using appropriate problem solving skills and independent judgment within established Service Rules to determine the most appropriate course of action.

Confering with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, property owners, and other interested parties regarding sewer service charges; providing information regarding regulations and billing schedules and resolves conflicts and problems concerning the issuance of permits.

Working with a Customer Service Billing system to set up accounts, issue permits, and making necessary adjustments to account information and fixture counts to ensure accurate billing information.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Three (3) years of full-time experience performing inspections, enforcing or explaining codes/regulations or providing revenue collection services to customers.

Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience that provides the knowledge and skill to perform the job duties may be considered.
Licenses/Certifications:

Possess a valid Nevada Class [C] driver's license at time of application.
