About the Role
GTG Builders is looking for an experienced Project Manager who takes ownership, stays ahead of the work, and leads residential construction projects with confidence.
From preconstruction through final completion and warranty, you'll oversee every phase of the project while coordinating subcontractors, vendors, clients, architects, and internal team members. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, proactive planning, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional custom homes on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
What You'll Do
Project Leadership
- Take full ownership of custom residential projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between clients, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and company leadership
- Anticipate challenges and resolve issues before they affect the schedule or quality
- Maintain organized, professional, and well-managed jobsites
- Protect the client's investment while representing GTG Builders with professionalism
Scheduling & Coordination
- Develop and manage detailed construction schedules using JobTread
- Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and project milestones
- Confirm labor, materials, and site readiness before work begins
- Monitor progress daily and adjust schedules proactively
- Develop recovery plans when projects fall behind
Field Management & Quality Control
- Maintain a regular presence on active jobsites
- Verify workmanship throughout construction to prevent rework
- Ensure jobsites remain clean, organized, safe, and professionally maintained
- Maintain GTG Builders' high standards for craftsmanship and quality
Documentation & Communication
- Keep JobTread schedules, daily logs, photos, and project records up to date
- Document project decisions, client communications, inspections, and schedule changes
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and trade partners throughout every phase of construction
Project Closeout
- Coordinate inspections and final approvals
- Manage punch lists through completion
- Support homeowner orientations and warranty transition
- Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and to GTG Builders' standards
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience managing residential construction projects, with custom home experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and plan interpretation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional communication skills with clients, subcontractors, architects, and internal teams
- Experience with construction management software (JobTread preferred)
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong accountability and attention to detail
- Commitment to quality craftsmanship and delivering an exceptional client experience
