We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Infant/Toddler Float Assistant Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support classroom activities across multiple age groups, ensuring each child receives attentive care and engaging educational experiences. As a float position, you will bring flexibility, enthusiasm, and a passion for early childhood education to our vibrant learning community.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development and lesson plans tailored to infants and toddlers
- Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and creating a nurturing environment for young children
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy education, physical development, and social skills
- Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent classroom experience and child welfare across different groups
- Maintain clear communication with parents about their child's progress and daily activities
- Contribute to classroom organization, including materials preparation and cleanliness to support a stimulating learning space
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy activities
- Experience with special education or early intervention programs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to adapt quickly as a float assistant teacher across different classrooms and age groups
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable; ongoing training in early childhood education is encouraged
