The Gulf Breeze Zoo is seeking a friendly, detail orientated, self-motivated Groundskeeper who can be a team player and will strive to keep the Zoo looking its best!
Job Description:
- Answers to Guest Services Manager or Director/Asst Director
- Cleans all zoo public areas before guests enter zoo
- Blow off and remove feces from sidewalks
- Pick up trash
- Wash exterior building windows
- Wipe dirt/debris/feces off of signs and railings
- Remove cobwebs from public areas
- Maintains the clean appearance of the zoo throughout the day
- Picking up trash and changing out trash can liners
- Collecting used feed cups
- Checking, cleaning and restocking restrooms
- Cleaning the parking lot and picnic pavilion
- Completes additional projects as determined by the management team, such as pressure washing, painting, etc.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, as well as power tools like trimmers and blowers
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills for teamwork and client interactions
- Basic understanding of maintenance procedures related to landscape equipment and tools
Job Requirements:
- This job is outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to walk/stand for duration of shift
- Must maintain a neat appearance and friendly attitude
- Must be a self starter
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work weekends/holidays
- No facial piercings permitted
