Graphic Designer
Golf Associates is the Original Scorecard Company and a premier printer of golf scorecards in North America. We have been in business since 1970 in Asheville, NC. Our family-owned company sells, designs, and prints golf scorecards and other print materials for thousands of golf courses in the US and Canada.
We are seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced production-oriented role (we are not an agency). This position will be designing and editing scorecards and other projects, which includes customer support in handling changes and approvals. This position may have some fluidity to include cross-training in coordination and proofing.

- Problem-solving skills to address design challenges and meet client deadlines
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Intermediate to advanced experience using Adobe Creative Suite—including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat
- Strong understanding of design principles including layout, typography, and color theory.
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge and experience with printing processes, papers, and preparing files for press is preferred
- Experience using font management software
- Some experience with Microsoft and Google Suite products
- Experience creating both flat and 3-D maps is preferred or extensive experience using layers and effects
- Able to follow our workflow and processes but quickly adapt as changes in processes and systems occur
- Come with creative ideas to enhance the customer experience for a quality finished product along with technical skills to increase efficiencies throughout your workflow
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping track of deadlines and make quick pivots to stay on task
- A design test will be required for any candidate to be considered for the role.

Salary: $20 - $23/hour
Expected hours: 40 per week, in office
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
