***Currently offering a $3000 sign on bonus for FT*** We are seeking a dedicated and energetic LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) to join our team as a Double Weekend Nurse. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to our residents and patients during weekend shifts, ensuring their health, safety, and comfort are prioritized. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medication administration.
- Manage IV infusions, catheter care, and tube feeding procedures with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Administer injections, perform venipuncture, and handle specimen collection in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor patients for acute pain management needs, infectious disease symptoms, or changes in condition requiring triage or escalation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of all medical records and patient information.
- Assist with discharge planning, patient education, and family communication to support ongoing care needs.
Experience
- Valid LVN license with current state certification required.
- Prior experience working in long-term care facilities such as skilled nursing or assisted living communities preferred.
- Critical care experience in hospital settings including ICU or emergency room environments highly desirable.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth is essential.
- Experience administering IV infusions, injections, and performing venipuncture with sterile technique.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards required for accurate recordkeeping.
- Background working with geriatric populations and individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is advantageous.
- Familiarity with infection control practices, acute pain management strategies, and hospice or palliative care principles enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive patient care.
