Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Maintain floor care through buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure surfaces remain pristine and safe
- Assist with custodial duties related to industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance as needed
- Support general porter responsibilities by moving furniture or equipment and ensuring pathways are clear and hazard-free
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly
- Use commercial cleaning equipment effectively while adhering to operational procedures
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing
- Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety standards, and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Janitorial Service has openings for part time cleaners in the Media area.
The schedule will be 5 days per week: Monday through Friday; 7pm to 9pm.
We are flexible on the start time.
Looking for detailed individuals that take pride in their work.
Potential candidate must have own transportation and will need to pass a state background check.
Job will entail collecting trash, cleaning restrooms, dusting, vacuuming and wet mopping tile floors.
You will also be responsible for locking and securing buildings.
