Summary
The Security fficer assists in the educatinal prcess by prtecting students and staff members frm harm while n schl premises, and prtecting schl-wned prperty frm lss r damage caused by anti-scial acts. This is an 11-mnth psitin, with respnsibilities spanning the regular schl and summer schl sessins up t a maximum f 225 days.
Essential Duties and Respnsibilities:
Incumbents must be able t perfrm the fllwing minimum duties in a satisfactry manner, with r withut reasnable accmmdatins:
Patrls assigned building, grunds and halls t
- prevent fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.
Cnducts patrl inspectins f drs, windws and gates t- determine that they are secure.
Cnfrnts unauthrized persns fr identificatin, ruting and/r assistance r calls plice fr assistance accrding t emergency acti- n plan.
Respnds as directed by the building administratr in matters - f security.
Patrls schl grunds and adjacent areas as assigned t detect unauthrized persns - r vehicles.
Draft and submit written reprts f security incidents and vilati- ns.
Respnds immediately t all requests fr assistance in emergency situati- ns.
Perfrms ther duties as assigned under c- ntract.
